Dylan Derewonko '24 earns two State Championships in Track

Dylan Derewonko was the state champion in the 3200m run, improving upon his personal record by 13 seconds and a new school record by 11 seconds. He capped his state meet off with a victory in the 1600m running 4:27.02. He is the first male athlete to win multiple state championships at the same meet and the first person to do it since the 1990s. His time of 4:27 is the first time any runner from Cascia has run under 4:30 in the 1600m. Dylan will be all state in two events for the Commandos this year.
