The athletic program is an integral part of the school’s total education program. The athletic program at Cascia Hall strives to instill the desire and discipline to compete, along with the organizational skills needed to maintain academic success as well as athletic involvement.
The level of participation for each student is arranged according to grade and ability. The Upper School varsity program emphasizes successful competition based on a solid foundation of commitment. The purpose of the sub-varsity and Middle School programs is to teach commitment and develop other skills of the individual athlete.
The mission of the athletic department is to develop perseverance, sportsmanship, endurance, strength, coordination, self-confidence and teamwork, as well as to create a winning attitude and an appreciation of recreational habits that will last a lifetime.
Basketball Practice begins the first week of October. Off-season workouts begin in August. The Upper School fields Varsity, Jr. Varsity, and Freshman teams.
Wrestling Practice begins the first week of October.
Cheerleading There are no tryouts for this team. Students will begin practice after school begins in August.
Cross Country Practice begins the first week of school. Football Practice begins in August. Sixth, seventh, and eighth-grade teams will be fielded separately.
Volleyball Practices begin in August. Teams will be fielded for the sixth, seventh, and eighth grades.
Golf Boys and Girls golf teams begin practice in February. An additional fee will be required to participate.
Lacrosse Practice begins in January for players who not in a winter sport.
Tennis Ladder matches will be held in October for a position on the team (only if needed). Practices will begin in February. Seventh and eighth grades will fill one tournament team. Sixth grade will fill a match play team.
Track Practice begins in March. The team will participate in various meets.
